Urban Living Lab

The overall project envisages the development of City and Regional hubs for Asia, Africa and Latin America.The Regional Urban Center for Africa hosted at the University of Nairobi - C4DLab brings together policymakers, county governments, residents, and research institutions towards formulating recommendations on supporting the uptake of low-carbon urban solutions (National low-carbon urban action plans).
Mobility
Shared, public and commercial e-mobility solutions play an important role in the transition towards low carbon urban mobility.
Energy
Sustainable energy solutions play an important role in the transition towards future cities.
Waste Management
This area aims to improve urban services, goods delivery and waste management operations through logistics, future vehicle design, behavioural and technological innovations.
Digitalization
This area promotes digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, sensors and smart infrastructure. These technologies enable the mobility innovation, such as Mobility as a Service (MaaS), Collaborative – Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS), Connected Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) and Internet of Things (IOT), to improve mobility operations and safety.
